This guide explains the key terms, fees, and processes related to your transactions on Devmakr, ensuring you have a clear understanding of how purchases and charges work.

Key Terms

Purchase

A purchase on Devmakr occurs when you buy an item license from a creator. The total price includes the Item Price (paid to the creator), a Buyer Fee (for platform services), and possibly a Handling Fee on the overall order. You can make multiple purchases in one checkout session.

Order

An order consists of one or more purchases completed during checkout. Each order is assigned a unique Order ID, linking all transactions in that checkout session. For instance, if you buy multiple items at once, each item’s license and fees share the same Order ID. A Handling Fee may apply depending on the total amount and payment method.

Credit

Devmakr does not offer an account credit system at this time. Purchases are processed via direct payment methods.

Reversals and Refunds

A reversal occurs when a purchase is refunded or a chargeback happens. Reversals appear on your statement with an accompanying Credit Note. For certain refunds, such as goodwill refunds, the reversal may only affect your statement without impacting the creator’s balance.

Referral Income

If you are part of Devmakr’s affiliate program, you earn Referral Income on the first purchase of each new customer referred via your affiliate link.

Commercial Documents

Invoice

An invoice is generated for each item or service you purchase, displaying the date, invoice ID, order ID, seller and buyer details, item specifics (name, item ID, license type, and price), and the total amount.

Statement

Your statement lists all transactions affecting your account balance, including purchases, refunds, affiliate earnings, and reversals.

Credit Note

A credit note (negative invoice) is issued if an invoice is reversed or voided, reflecting a refund or cancellation on your account.

Pricing and Fees

Total Price

The total amount includes the Item Price (license cost), Buyer Fee (for platform services), and any applicable Handling Fee.

Item Price

The Item Price is the cost paid directly to the creator for the item license.

Handling Fee

Orders may incur a handling fee based on the total order amount:

  • Orders under $10: $1
  • Orders $10 – $150: $3
  • Orders over $150: No handling fee

List Price

The List Price on an item page includes both the Item Price and the Buyer Fee.

Buyer Fee

The Buyer Fee supports Devmakr’s platform services, including buyer support, fraud protection, and quality control for items.
